Roberta Flack: R&B Legend

Singer and songwriter, Roberta Flack is a legendary icon in the music industry. Over the past 50 years, she has captured the hearts of numerous participants in the R&B and Hip Pop community, through her elegant and soulful music. She is a recipient of five Grammy awards including Record of the Year and the Lifetime Achievement Award.

If you don’t know of Roberta Flack, then you might recognize her two biggest hits: “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” and “Killing Me Softly with His Song.” Both of these songs hit number one on the Billboard 100 and allowed her to receive two Record of the Year Awards. Not only did she have hit singles, but she also has hit collaborations. She collaborated with the prestigious, top R&B artists Donny Hathaway and Peabo Bryson.
