Weeks ago Willow gained immense popularity worldwide after releasing her single “t r a n s p a r e n t s o u l” featuring Travis Barker, a widely popular artist in the alternative scene. After much asking from fans, Willow Smith’s highly anticipated pop-punk album, “Lately I Feel Everything” is set to release July 16th. Willow didn’t always start in the rock and alternative genres but has always been a fan of the music, which caused her to be bullied in school. “I used to get bullied in school for listening to Paramore and My Chemical Romance.” We all know that the representation for black women in the rock and metal scene is low and Willow wants to change that. “Just through the music that I’m putting out right now and the representation that I can bring to the mix, I just hope that the Black girls who are listening to my music and listening to this album see that there’s more of us out there,”
